Favicon not installing??? Help!?

Okay, so I have a 16x16 icon named favicon.ico. It is uploaded to the directory of index.htm. The exact file directory is http://ihelpwebsite.googlepages.com/favi...

In the head of the script, I have this posted:

The favicon does not appear. Now, I know maybe googlepages doesn%26#039;t accept favicons, but I have tried this with other web hosts and still failed. And, I reaserched it, and it does look like googlepages accepts them.

What am I doing wrong? Anybody have any ideas?

Edit 2: Sorry for all of the edits. I think your icon is getting overwritten by Google%26#039;s, upload yours to a different location and link to that dir.

Edit: I downloaded it from your site, and it%26#039;s working for me (the google icon) but I%26#039;m running linux and in the previewer it shows an ocean-like image.

Try putting it right under the %26lt;head%26gt; tag, if I remember right, that%26#039;s where it has to go.
