How to build a mailing list for an online newsletter?

Hello! :)

So basically, I%26#039;m going to be the student webmaster kind of, for my school%26#039;s web site. I%26#039;ll be looking after the site and whatnot... a little %26quot;shoutbox%26quot;... but!

I need to make a mailing list, and we will be sending out the school newsletters via email to the people who sign up.

I would like the kind of thing where you enter your email address, and then you%26#039;ll be sent the newsletter.

Like a field saying %26quot;Your Email%26quot; then a button saying %26quot;Subscribe to the newsletter!%26quot;

I hope I%26#039;m communicating what I need clearly... if not please let me know and I%26#039;ll clarify.

I can have a rogers, or if I need to, hotmail account.

Do I need a server-side host or whatever? I%26#039;m not too sure how to begin this so any help is appreciated.

Oh, and I seriously doubt the school will give any money.... so free = the best! :D

Are you saying that you need a button for people to subscribe to a newsletter? Do you want the button on a webpage, or within an email? If you have a webpage there are many ways that it can be done.
